Artisanal Antique Timepieces : Chronomètre Contemporain II

Rexhep Rexhepi, the founder of luxury jewelry brand Akrivia, has officially unveiled his latest timepiece creation, the ‘Chronomètre Contemporain II.’ Made in collaboration with renowned case maker Jean-Pierre Hagmann, the new piece features restored antique equipment to offer shoppers a highly-intricate, handcrafted collector’s item.

The Chronomètre Contemporain II is offered in two versions — a rose gold 5N or platinum iteration — both of which feature a 38mm case and comprise 15 different parts. In addition, the watch features a grand feu enamel dial and unique heat-treated minute hands; the platinum version also comes equipped with a hand-engraved seconds register.

Powering the ‘Chronomètre Contemporain II’ is a hand-wound Caliber RRC02 movement, which features a power reserve of 82 hours.
