Condolence messages are easy to dispatch on text or post on social media, but not when it’s for somebody who has worked with you and especially not when it’s a person you can relate to the pain the loss has inflicted. This is exactly what Udit Narayan is feeling over the death of Anuradha Paudwal‘s 35-year old son, Aditya, who passed away today. “I have been very upset since I heard this. I have not been able to muster the courage to call or even text Anuradha.”

Udit knew Aditya since his own struggle days. “He was a very happy child. And I got to know him better when Anuradha and I started singing many duet songs after Aashiqui. Anuradha used to bring him to recording studios, sometimes.”

Udit reveals that Aditya had a great ear for music. “He was a very good composer. I really like the way he carried himself. I hadn’t met him in very recent times, but seen him from a distance at a function; he looked okay. Anuradha and I were not in touch lately, so his kidney ailment is something that I really didn’t know about.”

Udit also said that Aditya had a very infectious smile. “In fact, Anuradha’s husband (Arun Paudwal) had called me home a few years back to sing in one of the bhajans that they were doing. I remember meeting Aditya there too. He used to welcome and respect me no end. I don’t think anybody will understand what Anuradha must be feeling now,” he concluded.
