Back in 1993, during a conversation with a magazine, about his alleged link-up with Madhuri. He said that there was nothing brewing between them.
In an interview, Sanjay had talked about a story that broke out while Madhuri was shooting for ‘Khel’ in Kenya. And when they had a shooting schedule for their film ‘Saajan’, he went up and said sorry to the actress. Sanjay said that Madhuri was under public scrutiny for no fault of her.
Sanjay added that Madhuri took the apology very well.
Sanjay and Madhuri made a comeback together in Abhishek Varman’s multi-starrer period drama ‘Kalank’. It was released in April 2019.
On the work front, Sanjay will next feature in ‘KGF: Chapter 2’ starring Yash. He will also star in ‘Shamshera’ with Ranbir Kapoor. While, on the other hand, Madhuri was last seen in ‘Kalank’ co-starring Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditya Roy Kapur and Kunal Kemmu.
